My design journey began with an Associate's degree in Visual Communications from The Art Institute of Houston, focusing on print design. I designed for modest companies early in my career, exploring typesetting, packaging design, and logo creation in Houston, Texas. In 2000, I relocated to Chicago, Illinois, to pursue a career in design working in ad agencies.
I departed the agency life and joined General Growth Properties, a REIT shopping center that ignited my real estate career nationally and globally. While at GGP, I honed my craft in Graphic Design, Digital Video Production, and Web Design technologies while building and mentoring a design team of digital graphic designers. In 2020, I joined Cboe Global Markets as Creative Director, where I launched the firm's new global brand identity. At Cboe, I am fortunate to collaborate with some of the industry's most talented and creative people, creating outstanding campaigns and building a brand.
As a designer, I feel staying current with design trends and constantly learning in the industry is paramount. My education journey in design is ongoing. I recently graduated from Southern New Hampshire with a Bachelors in Graphic Design. This academic pursuit is a testament to my commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and techniques in the field. In the spring of 2025, I plan to pursue my Masters in Design and AI technology. I am excited for the journey ahead as I explore the powerful tool of Artificial intelligence and what it can bring to my industry.
